Featured Video: Soilwork – Live In The Heart Of Helsinki

soilworkhelsinkidvdcover_638One of the current pioneers in the Swedish melodeath scene, Soilwork, are on the verge of releasing their first official live DVD/Blu-Ray titled, Live In The Heart Of Helsinki. Though the group has been around a decent amount of time, it’s about dam time we get a featurette from them. If you’re not familiar with the group, they’re one of the biggest artists within the genre as well as the current metal scene overall. They have released 9 albums since their formation in 1995 which also marks this year as their 20th year in the industry. At the end of last year, it was announced that the group is currently working on their tenth studio album, hopefully the album comes out sometime this year. In regards to this upcoming feature, it was filmed at a sold out venue in Helsinki last March. Guest appearances from this show include Floor Jansen of Nightwish/ReVamp and Nathan J. Biggs of Sonic Syndicate. Features include a killer set-list, and bonus material like behind the scenes footage of the making of their last album, a brief history of the group, as well as drumcam footage of several tracks. Definitely a must-have for any Soilwork fan, the DVD/Blu-Ray will be released first in the US (lucky us) on March 10, 2015.
